San Luis Obispo, CA

Coast National Bank’s main branch and corporate headquarters, located in downtown San Luis Obispo, includes 10,000 square feet of bank and office space. The two-story design was created to compliment a City-restored historic residential estate/park located next door and reflect the old-town character of downtown. Exterior materials include brick veneer, slate roofing, wood columns, cornices, and detailing. The unique building style combines western Victorian and Italianate elements with modern materials and construction techniques.

Interiors were carefully designed to convey the warmth and permanence of an old hometown bank. Extensive wood trim and moldings, stone countertops and high ceiling spaces were all critical to the design.
