San Luis Obispo, CA

Located in San Luis Obispo’s Edna Valley, Baileyana Winery is a 100,000 case winery consisting of 40,000 square feet. Form, function and economy were critical considerations in the selection of the pre-engineered steel structural system and insulated metal wall panels. Design work included the complete master plan and new building design. Winery processing, barrel and tank storage, the administration building, and obtaining all agency-required approvals were also included.

The design concept reflects the surrounding site with its rolling hills, settling the buildings into the hilltop location and recalling the wine barrel shape. Curved roofs and natural colors were chosen to carry out the concept.
